Lost Footage Revived!

Every now and then, I stumble upon a project that was started yet never finished. Sometimes—if they’re entertaining enough—I share them in their raw, unfinished form. Not this time! I recently rediscovered a music video spoof project from 2011 that was so funny, I had to finish it and put it up for your viewing pleasure!

So here’s the story:

I got home from work one night to discover that my pre-order of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword had arrived. As an avid Zelda fanatic, it was something I had been looking forward to playing for a very long time. But there was one problem: I swore not to play it until I finished the recording project I was working on at the time.

I was so tempted to give up on my goal, and jump into the latest video game adventure, but I was also afraid to break my focus on the project. The internal struggle was real, so I thought I’d make a music video that spoke to my emotions. You know…instead of continuing to work on the project.

At the time, I was still using a DV camera (yes, recording to tapes), and editing with iMovie. Editing the video together proved to be too difficult, so the footage was forgotten. The recording project eventually turned into March to Midnight. I also ended up beating Skyward Sword, and it was A-MAZING!

Anywho, my new job has turned me into a speedy fast Final Cut Pro X editor person, and I had just enough extra time in the last couple days to finish this goofy project, so here it is! I’m not sure how long it will be before I get flagged for using a 98 Degrees song, so enjoy it while it lasts!
